I’ve loved cars since I was a little kid watching American Sports Cavalcade on TV. I lived in 1 ½ mile square, quarry town in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey where if it broke, we fixed it.
During high school, I attended EVIT for automotive repair and while in my senior year, I taught the hands on part of auto repair to the younger students in my class.
I started my career in an Exxon Service Station, if anyone remembers what those were. A little time passed and then I spent 10 years in a GM performance shop building engines and transmissions, in house, for old and new cars and trucks of the day as well as all other makes of vehicles. It was a full service shop with extra specialties. I worked my way up from second tech to manager before leaving the shop to expand my horizons.
I then spent 4 years in a premier, world wide body shop as a mechanic with numerous amounts of continuous training for electronics, diagnosis, mechanical and collision for brand new cars. Now, I’m at Friendly Auto Centers with no intention of leaving until I retire, many years from now. My training still continues as will the never ending evolution of cars and trucks and I plan on keeping up.
Certifications: IMAC, I-CAR, GM programming, Hyundai/Kia Driveability, GPD Auto Air conditioning and updated I-CAR training every 6 months.
